Gao is a Place to Eat, Drink and Eat.

Located a few minutes off the Westfield Albany, Gao Asian Fusion is easily one of my favourite places to go eat and drink in Auckland.

With a variety of dishes inspired by many different countries in Asia, they are particularly famous for their dumplings. For me personally, I am a big fan of their Crispy Pork Ribs and Gao Fried Chicken; their cocktails are also amazing - very hard to pick my favourite because I love them all.

With a curated selection of dumplings available, one of their most popular ones is the Peking Duck Pancakes (photo below). The pancake is flakey and buttery and is topped with perfectly cooked, juicy duck pieces, cucumber, bean sprouts and spring onions with plum sauce.

Their Dumpling Master has over 30 years of experience and with Gao's creative twist, the dumplings not only taste amazing but they are also beautiful to look at - very Instagrammable.

Do you like grilled cauliflower? Because Gao does it perfectly.

If you are not sure what to order, either ask Gao's amazing staff or just pick anything because everything is good. Honestly, you will be so surprised at how good they are.
