Six Best Eggs Benedict in Auckland CBD.

An icon in the cafe scene, eggs benedict is possibly the most ordered dish overall.

Almost all the cafes in New Zealand offer their version of eggs benedict and often, each is very different.

Here, I have listed six of the best eggs benedict I have had recently in the Auckland Central area. The list is not in a particular order.

Eggs benedict from Chuffed in Auckland

As one of the most popular cafes in Auckland, this award-winning cafe not only does good coffee but great food as well. With their menu changing every couple of months, curated by their talented team of chefs, you can expect flavour-packed eggs benedict from Chuffed.

Eggs benedict from Melba Vulcan Lane in Auckland

Another icon of Auckland's cafe scene, Melba Vulcan Lane has been around since 1995 and it has been loved by not just the locals but tourists as well for all these years.

Their eggs benedict with house-made potato rosti is a must-try.

Eggs benedict from Ampersand Eatery in Auckland

Ampersand Eatery is located in Orakei Bay. With its big, open space with many seats inside, it is a popular destination for the locals, especially for their evening services because they have a wide range of wines available.

During the day though, they are also very popular because just simply, their food is amazing. Their eggs benedict comes with house-made potato hash - you can pick between bacon or smoked salmon.

Eggs benedict from Benedict's in Auckland

Benedict's have now been around for two years now and it already established itself as one of the top cafes in Auckland; this can be easily proven by all the social media reviews and magazine articles available online.

Their eggs benedict with thick hand-cut bacon is a must-try.

Located in Grey Lynn, Ozone is one of Auckland's favourite coffee roasteries and cafes. The open space has a lot of seats with an open kitchen, which means they are very confident with their dishes - which they are.

Their eggs benedict comes with house-made bubble n' squeak cakes, which are absolutely delicious. You can pick between cured salmon, bacon or halloumi - I recommend bacon.

These guys are not only the best "mall cafe" in New Zealand, but they are also one of the most popular cafes in the city; Leafe Cafe in Newmarket Westfield serves great coffee and food consistently.

One of their signature dishes is the Fried Chicken with Sriracha Eggs Benedict - comes with either English muffins or brioche buns. The fried chickens are crunchy, flavourful and juicy - I personally favour eggs benedict with potato hash but for Leafe's one, the crunchiness of the chicken and the softer bread works very well.
