My Top 10 Food

This is the first time I properly thought of what I enjoy eating the most. So here's a list of my top 10 favourite things to eat in order, starting from 10th place. I also have included places where you can try this food in Auckland.

10. Woodfire Pizza

Woodfire pizzas from UMU Pizza in Kingsland, Auckland

I highly recommend UMU Pizza in Kingsland to try their pizzas.

9. Grilled or Deep-Fried Cauliflower

Cauliflower from Ampersand in Auckland

Ampersand Eatery's twice-cooked cauliflower with three-cheese sauce is too good.

8. Portuguese Egg Tart

I try to get one or two of these tarts from Bread & Butter and Red Rabbit whenever I visit for a coffee run. Chinese egg tarts are also lovely - try them at your local yum cha places or grab some from Gao Asian Fusion.

7. Oyster Mushroom

Kingi's wood-roasted oyster mushrooms are the best I have had.

6. Cheesecake

There are so many amazing cafes that offer delicious cheesecakes so Google it to find out what's near you. The picture above is from Melba Manukau... And of course, Frasers cannot be ignored for their cheesecakes.

5. Fried Chicken

There are so many places where you can try good fried chickens in Auckland: My Fried Chicken, Peach's, Pocha Chicken and Kai Eatery.

4. Tteokbokki

Tteokbokki (spicy rice cake) from Pocha in Auckland CBD

Pocha's cheesy tteokbokki is the best.

3. Coffee

Yes, it is a drink but I love coffee so much. With so many places to recommend, check out the other two articles I published to discover your next coffee spot in Auckland.

2. Oyster

Kingi, Poni Room and Oyster & Chop are my go-to spots for oysters and drinks. Also, Eight Restaurant is also amazing for a seafood feast.

1. Pasta

Pasta from Ampersand, Auckland

I love all pasta but especially the simple ones. Try Pici, Amano and Cotto for your next pasta place.
