Where to find the Best Croissants in Auckland 2024

Auckland hosts an array of bakeries and cafes known for amazing pastries - from the classic croissants to tarts. In this guide, I will share Auckland's finest croissants. Do note, that this list is not in a particular order.

158 Remuera Road, Remuera, Auckland 1050

Mor Bakery makes one of the most beautiful (both look and taste) croissants in town. Despite being one of the newest names on this list, you can find croissants and other gorgeous pastries they make at many other cafes around Auckland.

With their HQ located in Remuera, the locals would be in for a treat every morning they are open.

5 Graham Street, Auckland CBD, Auckland 1010

Located in Auckland CBD, just like the name Scratch Bakers makes everything from scratch and they are extremely good at it. From their wide range of pastry products, their almond croissants and doughnuts are the highlights.

G11/30 Enfield Street, Mount Eden, Auckland 1024

The rise of Mibo was quick due to the crunchy, flaky exterior and generous fillings of their croissants - often being sold out by lunchtime.

Waiting in line to buy a few of their croissants was a norm during their first few months of opening - if you were lucky, you were able to buy and try one of all their croissant flavours.

Now located in both Mount Eden and Auckland CBD, Mibo's famous croissants are much more accessible.

34 Westmoreland Street West, Grey Lynn, Auckland 1021

As one of the most reputable German and artisan bakeries in Auckland, Bread & Butter has been making simple yet good croissants for years.

While so many shops continue to increase the price of their croissants and other products, Bread & Butter has been much more generous to the community - with their delicious croissants (and pastries) being one of the most affordable in town.

66 - 68, Tyler Street, Britomart Place, Auckland 1010

This iconic bakery and restaurant in Auckland CBD has been offering beautiful pastries to Auckland locals and tourists for years and years.

There isn't too much to say other than that Amano is capable of producing consistently good croissants every single day.

Unit7/59-67 High Street, Auckland CBD, Auckland 1010

More known as a coffee shop, Receptionist is a dark horse in this list. They bake croissants in-house - people who know, know that their normal, almond and ham + cheese croissants can compete with top-tier bakeries like the ones listed here.

Personally, their almond croissant is one of my favourites in town and I highly recommend you try it.

327 Karangahape Road, Auckland CBD, Auckland 1010

An iconic bakery and eatery on K Road, Fort Greene's pastries have been considered one of Auckland's best. Towards their closing time, they tend to sell out so make sure to visit early and grab a few.

While you are there, check out their cruffin (croissant-muffin), too - this is my personal favourite.
