Cheesecake and doughnuts are probably two of my favourite desserts. If I had to choose between a cheesecake and a doughnut, most of the time, I would pick a cheesecake (especially a fruity one). The main reason is that often, I find doughnuts can be too bready with stale texture. But when I tried Bread & Butter's Crème Brûlée Doughnut a while ago, I was absolutely blown away by it.
The doughnut was so soft, chewy and not too sweet. In addition, the Crème Brûlée inside was legit - tasted better than the usual Crème Brûlée dessert you get.
It was easily the best doughnut I have had in my life so far. I also tried other flavours as well such as their famous Black Forest Doughnut - that was lovely also.
What I am trying to say is, Bread & Butter makes one of the best doughnuts in Auckland and they are a must-try. Bread & Butter's experience, knowledge in bread baking and everything related enabled them to create the most delicious doughnuts you can get.
In addition, you cannot forget the croissants - the cheese croissant above is also great. It is flaky, cheesy and flavourful.
Lastly, check out the Kouign Amann, an amazing butter cake pictured above. With a lot of great pastries, cakes and sweets offerings, make sure to add visiting Bread & Butter to your weekly routine.
