For those who know me, cheesecake is my favourite dessert and fortunately, there are many places that offer delicious cheesecakes. However, Lily Eatery might be my current favourite for basque cheesecake.
Lily Eatery has been a very popular cafe in Devonport but recently, they opened up in the City - in Freemans Bay: 27 Napier Street, Auckland 1011.
At the Freemans Bay location, this is where I tried their basque cheesecake and wow... It was absolutely amazing! Just look at the photo above!
The CIty location is very spacious and beautiful. Its welcoming and vibey space is perfect for a meeting, catch-ups and just to study/work while sipping on amazing coffee; they use Eighthirty coffee beans, which is one of my favourites.
Their menu is stunning also - using the freshest and best ingredients, their dishes are affordable, good-portion and creative... And of course, delicious!
During the weekdays, this place gets very busy with the office workers because Lily Eatery City is in the office building - the ground floor.
Being slightly out of Auckland CBD but still central, you can find cheap/free parking near the area. Not just their menu, their cabinet offering is possibly one of the best in Auckland.
I visited here a few times now and seeing the cabinet changing very often is very exciting - lucky for all the office workers on the building!
If you are a coffee-lover, Lily Eatery should definitely be added to your "go-to" list as well.
They take coffee seriously and are very proud of what they do - and rightfully so.
