The Kimchi Project: Delicious Fusion.

Despite being Korean, I am actually not the biggest fan of kimchi but when it is cooked (particularly sauteed), I really like it. The Kimchi Project is a Korean fusion eatery located in Auckland CBD; you can find them on Lorne Street.

When you first enter, you will see a narrow cafe-like interior but when you keep walking in, you will see an open area, giving a South-Asia feel.

With many drinks to choose from, The Kimchi Project also do good coffee - it is a great place to catch up with friends during the day.

Pictured below is the Kimchi Bacon Pasta. With kimchi, cream sauce, vegetables, garlic, cucumber, mushroom, bacon, parmesan cheese and spaghetti pasta, the combination of Korean (kimchi) and Italian (pasta) elements in this dish works very well! This dish is not spicy at all so anyone can enjoy it.

Chilli Oil Squid Ink Pasta is another dish ordered during my visit here - a big tiger prawn, calamari, chilli oil, parsley denkatsu, squid ink, garlic, red chilli, parmesan and spaghetti pasta. This dish had a little bit of kick which I really liked.

I will definitely visit The Kimchi Project again to try other dishes.
